"The word “deconstruction” implies an intentional process, a disassembling of something, in order to examine its parts. It is different than “destruction” or “dissolving.” To deconstruct is to take something apart piece by piece rather than smashing it to bits or passively letting it devolve into a mess. Actual deconstruction allows for something to be examined and reassembled or remodeled (hopefully better and stronger)."

So many are so afraid of that word. I remember when my dear friend Miles Adcox and I were interviewing Richard Rohr for our old podcast 'The Unspoken Podcast” He was warned by several people that talking to Father Rohr would be destructive and dangerous! What is so ironic about that is Richard Rohr was really my toe back into a way more expansive and beautiful understanding of God, The Universal Christ and so much more after I had totally walked away from all religion and any form of spirituality.
This has become a topic I feel so honored to speak on and share with my clients often because it can feel so disorienting and confusing when you begin questioning or leaving the religion you were raised in. I love to normalize that process for you and hopefully invite you into a whole new way of seeing God, the universe, or whatever word resonates most deeply for you.
The truth is, I am more in love with the Divine than I have ever been in this life. Being of service to divinity, feeling God’s love in me, for all beings, the earth, and all its creatures have become the truest most foundational part of my life. I would be so honored to share this journey with you and all I have learned about this process.
Next Thursday the 25th from 12:30-1:30 central, I will have an online event for all my paying substack members (it is $6 a month and you can pause, cancel, or come back at any time). I would love to have you there live because there will be lots of time for Q&A but if you are unable to make it live, the recording will come to you within 24 hours.
I love you and every single part of you is welcome here, xx, Ruthie
