This past weekend was a big one for the Lindsey-Wilkins home. On Friday, I had the chance to speak at the Onsite Offices about my experience in treatment at Milestones five years ago. That was one of the darkest and scariest times in my entire life. I got to share what that time invited me into. I feel like a very different version of 2019 Ruthie, and I’m grateful for that. My life is much slower, less flashy, and so, so sweet. Things did die away—friendships, work I used to do, alcohol, and parts of me I thought made me “special,” but only those that were no longer in alignment. A much truer version of me has emerged, who is very human but is also learning how to bring love and compassion to my patterns and big emotions. I am learning to show up in a hopefully more authentic way. So, as painful as that season was, I am also grateful for it, as it allowed me to become more of me.
We also had one of my former clients in town, who I absolutely adore, and we are hiring her to help us organize our house. We got rid of so much and are donating a lot. It feels absolutely amazing! On that same exact day, a brand new cat walked into our lives. Here’s what is hilarious: we were going the very next day to adopt a kitten! We have been wanting a cat so badly, and as many feral cats as I feed, none have ever been interested in living with us. The day we cleaned out our house, and the day before we were going to adopt, we found our cat! It turns out our amazing neighbor has been feeding her for two weeks, posting about her, and even having her checked for a chip. No one had come forward, and there was no chip. She had called 15 shelters, and they were all full. We were just waiting to find each other! We are so excited!
All she wants to do is snuggle in our laps at all times. She is on me at this moment as I type this! We are absolutely in love! Meet Fern Lindsey-Wilkins :) She is magical!
I truly believe that when we clean out our closets and our homes, we energetically make room for what is ready to come in! It feels so good!
It also feels amazing because I am making so much energetic room. Starting tomorrow and for the next 5 weeks I get to go on a journey with the beautiful souls who joined Homecoming and now I have so much more energetic room for it. If this feels aligned for you, I would be so honored to share this space with you! It is going to be beautiful and intimate. More info below.
Lastly, it is not too late to sign up for today’s live virtual call with Waking Womb to learn about the female nervous system and our cyclical nature. She is truly an amazing teacher that I have been working with for the last year and who has been like a balm to my nervous system.
I am so grateful for you being here. I hope you have a wonderful day and feel some extra love for yourself today.
Love, love, love,
Ruthie

Love’s Invitation Monthly Event: The Female Nervous System and Our Cyclical Nature
Homecoming
From the moment we enter this world, we are born free, knowing ourselves as divine love, whole, and worthy. Yet, societal conditioning often clouds this truth, leading us to believe we must contort ourselves to fit into predefined molds in order to belong and receive approval.
But here's the truth: liberation begins with unlearning. It's about shedding the layers of conditioning that have weighed us down and reclaiming our inherent worthiness. That's why we've created Homecoming - to provide a nurturing environment where you can rediscover your authenticity, express yourself fully, and embrace your innate power.
We invite you to come back to your heart, body, and mind in a space filled with love, acceptance, and support
The Female Nervous System and Our Cyclical Nature with Veronica Rottman
Veronica Rottman of Waking Womb is a somatic trauma resolution practitioner who centers on the female nervous system. Veronica has had a deep reverence for the body, particularly women’s body’s, from a very young age. She had an intuitive knowing while in college that our life and our responses to life were being driven by the body, and when she discovered Somatic experiencing and the polyvagal theory she felt deeply validated. Veronica has education and experience over the last 15 + years working in somatics, and she is incredibly grateful to witness the power of our nervous system and its inherent capacity to heal trauma and expand our lives. She leads online training, centering on the female nervous system, 1 on 1 sessions, retreats, and more.
This class will be held on October 29th at 12:30 pm CT. During this time we will dive into the female nervous system and the somatic, scientific, and spiritual intersections that compose our nervous system. Our nervous system is more complex, and our complexity has been ignored for decades as we have been left out of health research. Now that we have evidence of our unique needs and capacities, it is time to revolutionize somatics to include women and those in female bodies. Bring a journal, and have soma space to move a bit.
