What has moved the needle on my healing journey the most
Join Ruthie Lindsey, Dr. Hillary McBride, and Elena Dominguez for a transformative 5-week container called Homecoming, starting October 30th at 12:30 pm CT. Learn more below!
This is my favorite poem by Rumi because it deeply reminds us that every emotion deserves to be here. The work lies in learning to welcome it all, greeting each feeling with compassion and love. I don’t know about you, but this was opposite to what I was shown and taught as a child—at church and by culture. To learn to let go is to learn to love those parts of ourselves that we were conditioned to hate. No one has ever healed through shame; we heal through compassion and love. These patterns are doing everything they can to protect you and keep you safe. To prevent them from driving our lives, we must learn tools to meet them with compassion and care.
When we shame and hate these parts of ourselves, they only get louder and cling on for dear life, remaining in the driver’s seat. The heart of what we will be doing in Homecoming will be learning tools, within a small group of women, on how to meet these parts with care, tenderness, and love. I would be honored to embark on this journey with you over the next five weeks—to unlearn and remember together, to witness each other, to laugh, cry, dance, and feel less alone.
A massive bonus will be having Dr. Hillary McBride teach about spiritual trauma and how to heal from it, alongside Elena Dominguez, who will teach about pleasure and the nervous system. They are two women who have held my heart so tenderly in this life and have taught me so much about my body and nervous system. I know they will touch your heart as well!
If you’d like to have a 20-minute free exploratory call with me to discuss this, please respond to this email, and we’ll set that up. I would be honored to join you on this journey. This container starts next week, so be sure to purchase your spot soon!
Sending you so much love and compassion for all your parts,
Ruthie
